January Support Update

The countdown is on! As of tomorrow I only have 5 more weeks until I leave to begin serving at Christian Light School in Haiti!!! Life sure has been busy as I try to balance work, responsibilities I've already assumed for Christian Light School, making final preparations for Haiti, and sharing my story with whoever is willing to hear it. It has been a good busy and I'm grateful for all of the doors the Lord has opened!

Last Sunday I was able to participate in a ministry fair at Dover Bethany United Methodist Church. I really enjoyed worshiping and sharing about Christian Light School and Haiti with my brothers and sisters at DBUMC! They were very welcoming and I could definitely sense the presence of God in their midst. May God continue to bless the people of Dover Bethany as they strive to be more like Christ!

Tomorrow morning I will be sharing my story with a Sunday School class at Lewisberry United Methodist Church. I'll be flying to Tampa, Florida on Thursday to spend a week with my grandparents. While I'm there I'll be sharing my testimony at their church, Plant City Church of God. Please pray that I'll only speak the words that God wants me to speak, and that He will sing over me!

On Sunday, March 2nd, my good friend Matt Riggins and I are having a concert at our church, New Life Church. I'm really excited about it and I'm anticipating a great night - perhaps a life changing night for some! My heart beats a little faster just thinking about it! Pray for Matt and I as we prepare and for the other people who will be helping to make it a special night!

As of January 31st, I have received $3,306 in financial support. So far my pledged monthly support amount is at least $390, which puts me at 26% of my monthly support (if $1,500/month is the goal). I stepped out in faith and bought my one-way ticket to Haiti for March 23rd. I'm leaving on that date regardless of how much support has been raised. I truly believe that God will meet my needs in some way or another. I'm going to continue to press on and try my best to live the way He desires for me to live. My Papa is rich!
